What is VCIS?
VCIS is a system which allows the public to dial in to the court's database and access the latest information, including: case number, name of debtor(s) or parties, case filed (in)voluntarily, case filing chapter and date, filed as business/consumer, conversion chapter and date, if the case has assets, the attorney for the debtor, the trustee, the judge's name, the status of the case, claim deadline, discharge and closing dates, reopened and/or re-closing dates, disposition method, attorney's phone number and city, 341 meeting date, time and place.

What Equipment Do I Need?
All you need is a standard touch-tone telephone. The information on the case(s) you select will be read to you by a computer generated synthetic voice.

How Much Does VCIS Cost?
VCIS is provided free of charge. There are no online charges other than what your long distance service provider charges.

When is VCIS Available?
As a general rule, you may call for information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. VCIS is real-time and queries it's information directly from the BANCAP database.

How do I Find a Case?
When you call the VCIS number, the connected computer will answer and ask you to enter "1" for detailed instructions on how to use the system, "2" to search by case number, "3" to search by case name, or (4) to search by Social Security Number/Tax ID . Using the keys on the phone, enter the name of the debtor or the case number and the computer will read the most recent information available about the case. If there is more than one name found, VCIS will read each case.
