The Electronic Self-Representation (eSR) system is designed to assist debtors with preparing and submitting a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy petition without legal counsel.  This program walks debtors through the process of creating and submitting a petition.  eSR is free of charge and no software is required.

Bankruptcy has serious long-term financial and legal consequences and hiring a competent attorney is strongly recommended.    The Bankruptcy Court is not permitted to provide legal advice.  Individuals filing for bankruptcy without an attorney are still responsible for knowing and following all the legal requirements.
