In order to file documents electronically and receive e-mail notices of documents filed, attorneys must become authorized users of the Court’s CM/ECF Live database by following these three simple steps.
STEP ONE – Meet the Prerequisites
Before completing an on-line course, the following minimum requirements must be met:
STEP TWO – Get Trained
The US Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Michigan offers on-line training. To obtain an on-line training packet, please email email@example.com. Please include the following information in your email: name, address, phone number, email address, Bar ID and whether you primarily represent creditors or debtors (if you are a staff member taking the training on behalf of an attorney, please include the attorney(s) name). NOTE: Training is waived if you are currently e-filing in another Bankruptcy District(s).
STEP THREE – Register to E-File
Upon completion of on-line training and some training exercises, fill out a registration form.
