For Creditors

A creditor is a person or entity to whom the debtor owes money or who claims to be owed money by the debtor.  Creditors listed in an individual’s bankruptcy case will receive notice of the action.  They also have the opportunity to attend the 341 Meeting of Creditors, file a Proof of Claim, and to file a Reaffirmation Agreement.

NOTE:  Only individuals may represent themselves in matters or proceedings before this Court.  An entity other than an individual may act on its own behalf for purposes of filing a proof of claim, participating in a 341 meeting, or filing a reaffirmation agreement. For all other purposes, an entity must be represented by an attorney unless a statute or applicable rule provides otherwise.
