January 9, 2025 has been designated a National Day of Mourning to honor James Earl Carter, Jr., the 39th President of the United States.  

A number of court hearings are scheduled on the morning of January 9 and those hearings WILL go forward as scheduled.  The United States Bankruptcy Court will then close at 12:00 noon in recognition of the Day of Mourning.
